In Friday's league match, the host Myrtle Point Bobcats football squad scored a good 22-6 triumph over the Gold Beach Panthers.
The Bobcats (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Glide (Glide, OR). The Wildcats come into the 2A Special District 4 (9 Man) match with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Glide was dropped by Bandon (Bandon, OR), 50-26, in a league battle.
The Panthers now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Oakland for a 2A Special District 4 (9 Man) battle on Friday, October 10. Gold Beach will play a Oakers team coming off a 42-6 non-league loss to Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Oakers record now stands at 2-1.
