Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA), 35-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Richlands advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Blue Tornado travel to Central Wise (Norton, VA) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Central Wise lost 47-0 in their recent league match against Union (Big Stone Gap, VA)

Coming up next, the Golden Wave confront the Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 10. Grundy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 0-5 record after their 27-10 league loss to Virginia High (Bristol, VA).
