North Carolina High School Football - Hoggard smashes New Hanover

October 3, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28401

The Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) football trounced the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 34-0 in Friday's league outing.

The Vikings now possess a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Topsail for a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A contest on Friday, October 10. Hoggard will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 27-9 league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 0-7.

Coming up next, the Wildcats battle the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A bout, on Friday, October 10. New Hanover will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 42-24 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
