In Friday's league game, the Notre Dame Prep Saints (Scottsdale, AZ) football team edged the host Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ), by a tally of 42-41.

With the win, Notre Dame Prep advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Saints host Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ) to encounter the Firebirds in a 5A Northeast Valley bout on Thursday, October 9. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Chaparral won 45-21 in their recent non-league bout against Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ)

The Huskies now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cactus Shadows for a 5A Northeast Valley bout on Friday, October 10. Horizon will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 49-20 league loss to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ). The Falcons record now stands at 3-3.
