In Friday's league match, the visiting Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones football squad scored a decisive 51-0 triumph over the Horton Chargers.
The Cyclones (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Troy (Troy, KS). The Trojans come into the Northeast Kansas match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Troy routed Doniphan West (Highland, KS), 36-0, in a league match.
Next up, the Chargers play the Centralia Panthers (Centralia, KS) in a Twin Valley battle, on Friday, October 10. Horton will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 42-0 league win over Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy (Atchison, KS).
