The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), witnessed Pinecrest's football squad knock off Jack Britt by a tally of 29-21.

The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars enter the Mid-South 7A/8A bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Overhills beat Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 24-6, in a league bout.

The Buccaneers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond Senior for a Mid-South 7A/8A bout on Friday, October 10. Jack Britt will encounter a Raiders team coming off a 53-8 league win over Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.
