In Friday's league match, the host Solon Spartans football squad scored a decisive 58-6 victory over the Keokuk Chiefs.
The Spartans (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Washington (Washington, IA). The Demons enter the 3A District 4 match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Washington routed Fairfield (Fairfield, IA), 42-30, in a league match.
Next up, the Chiefs play the Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) in a 3A District 4 battle, on Friday, October 10. Keokuk will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 5-1 record after their 61-0 league win over Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA).
