In their next game, the Mavericks face the Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, KS) in a South Central Border (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 10. Kiowa County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 46-0 league win over Skyline (Pratt, KS).

The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Timberwolves enter the Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, South Central bounced Macksville (Macksville, KS), 60-6, in a non-league challenge.
