Texas High School Football - Lake Creek thwarted by Montgomery

Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX), 42-31 in a league test.

The Bears now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntsville for a 5A-2 Region II District 8 test on Friday, October 10. Montgomery will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 39-29 league loss to Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Lake Creek drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Dayton (Dayton, TX) to meet the Broncos in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 test on Friday, October 10. The Broncos come into the test with a record of 4-1. Dayton won 61-59 in their recent league test against Nederland (Nederland, TX)
