The Newton Tigers football squad (Newton, MS), was outscored 38-14 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Lake Hornets (Lake, MS)

With the win, Lake advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Hornets host Puckett (Puckett, MS) to encounter the Wolves in a 2A Region 5 bout on Thursday, October 9.
