Arkansas High School Football - McGehee trounces Lakeside

In Friday's league match, the host McGehee Owls football squad scored a decisive 44-8 triumph over the Lakeside Beavers.

The Owls (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rison (Rison, AR). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region 8 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Rison was ripped by Dumas (Dumas, AR), 40-34, in a league battle.

The Beavers now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Drew Central for a 3A Region 8 match on Friday, October 10. Lakeside will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 46-0 league loss to Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 2-3.
