Mississippi High School Football - Lamar sneaks past Mize

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lamar Raiders football squad scored a close 34-27 triumph over the Mize Bulldogs.

The Raiders (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Hartfield Academy (Flowood, MS). The Hawks come into the MAIS 4A District 2 match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Hartfield Academy was nudged by Tupelo (Tupelo, MS), 35-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs meet the Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS) in a 2A Region 6 battle, on Friday, October 10. Mize will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Oilers go into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 57-0 league win over Enterprise (Enterprise, MS).
