In Friday's non-league game, the Potomac Wolverines (Oxon Hill, MD) football team overcame the host Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD), by a tally of 41-29.

In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 10. Potomac will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 23-8 non-league win over Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD).

The Spartans now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to DuVal for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11. Laurel will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 35-0 league loss to Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.
