The Monroeville Eagles football team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Mapleton Mounties to 8 in the Eagles league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Friday, October 10. Monroeville will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Big Red go into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 20-12 league win over New London (New London, OH).

The Mounties (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against New London (New London, OH). The Wildcats go into the Firelands challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, New London was ripped by Plymouth (Plymouth, OH), 20-12, in a league challenge.
