The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats football squad scored 31 points and limited the host Midland Eagles to 6 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Cedar for a A District 4 test on Friday, October 10. Maquoketa Valley will meet a Knights squad coming off a 49-0 league loss to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.
The Eagles (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Linn (Troy Mills, IA). The Lynx enter the A District 4 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, North Linn ran past North Cedar (Stanwood, IA), 49-0, in a league outing.
