The Middletown Islanders got by the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties football team by a score of 23-16 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Islanders play the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 10. Middletown will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 22-8 non-league loss to Moses Brown (Providence, RI).
With the defeat, Mt. Pleasant drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Kilties host Coventry (Coventry, RI) to meet the Oakers in a Division II test on Friday, October 10. The Oakers come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Coventry lost 49-28 in their recent league challenge against East Providence (East Providence, RI)
