Ohio High School Football - Pickerington Central triumphant over Newark

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pickerington Central Tigers (Pickerington, OH) and the host Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH), saw Pickerington Central's football team bounce Newark by a final score of 52-7.

With the win, Pickerington Central advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Groveport-Madison (Groveport, OH) to encounter the Cruisers in a Ohio Capital - Buckeye bout on Friday, October 10. The Cruisers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Groveport-Madison won 20-7 in their recent league bout against Reynoldsburg (Reynoldsburg, OH)

The Wildcats now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Teays Valley for a Ohio Capital - Buckeye contest on Friday, October 10. Newark will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 49-13 league loss to Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-3.
