Texas High School Football - Nixon-Smiley knocked off by Poth

In Friday's league outing, the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) football squad knocked off the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), by a margin of 32-14.

The Pirates now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cotulla for a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 outing on Friday, October 10. Poth will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 17-15 league loss to Stockdale (Stockdale, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Nixon-Smiley drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Natalia (Natalia, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 3A-2 Region IV District 15 outing on Friday, October 10. The Mustangs come into the outing with a record of 3-2. Natalia lost 42-28 in their recent league outing against Karnes City (Karnes City, TX)
