Texas High School Football - Odem trounces Taft

In Friday's league battle, the host Odem Owls football team scored a big 40-6 win over the Taft Greyhounds.

With the triumph, Odem upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Owls travel to George West (George West, TX) to meet the Longhorns in a 3A-2 Region IV District 16 match on Friday, October 10. The Longhorns come into the match with a record of 5-0. George West won 72-6 in their recent league match against Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX)

Coming up next, the Greyhounds meet the Banquete Bulldogs (Banquete, TX) in a 3A-2 Region IV District 16 match, on Thursday, October 9. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 0-6 record after their 43-19 league loss to Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX).
