Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA), 34-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Rural Retreat improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Indians travel to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA) to play the Warriors in a Hogoheegee battle on Thursday, October 16. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Chilhowie won 22-7 in their recent league battle against Honaker (Honaker, VA)

The Rebels now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Holston for a Hogoheegee challenge on Friday, October 10. Patrick Henry will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 47-13 non-league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-2.
