The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) and the visiting Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), witnessed Pontiac's football squad topple Rantoul by a tally of 42-22.

The Indians (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages go into the Illini Prairie bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Monticello overcame St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 28-21, in a league bout.

The Eagles now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Prairie Central for a Illini Prairie bout on Friday, October 10. Rantoul will encounter a Hawks team coming off a 46-7 league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 3-3.
