Maine High School Football - Portland overwhelmed by Thornton Academy

In Friday's non-league game, the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) football team crushed the host Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME), by a tally of 36-0.

The Trojans (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Mustangs enter the A South contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Massabesic crushed Scarborough (Scarborough, ME), 35-25, in a league bout.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Bonny Eagle for a non-league bout on Friday, October 10. Portland will encounter a Scots team coming off a 34-8 non-league win over Oxford Hills/Buckfield (South Paris, ME). The Scots record now stands at 5-0.
