In Friday's league match, the host Shenandoah Mustangs football squad scored a decisive 48-6 triumph over the Red Oak Tigers.
The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Underwood (Underwood, IA). The Eagles go into the 1A District 8 battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Underwood walloped Missouri Valley (Missouri Valley, IA), 56-7, in a league battle.
The Tigers now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Treynor for a 1A District 8 battle on Friday, October 10. Red Oak will play a Cardinals team coming off a 56-28 league win over Tri-Center (Neola, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-1.
