Kansas High School Football - Schlagle sneaks past Sumner Academy

October 3, 2025: Kansas City, KS 66101

The Schlagle Stallions football squad scored 32 points and limited the host Sumner Academy Sabres to 28 in the Stallions league triumph on Friday.

The Stallions now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Harmon for a Meadowlark challenge on Friday, October 10. Schlagle will face a Hawks team coming off a 28-21 league loss to Wyandotte (Kansas City, KS). The Hawks record now stands at 1-4.

The Sabres (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Northeast (Kansas City, MO). The Vikings go into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Northeast was edged by St. Mary's Academy (St. Marys, KS), 49-0, in a non-league challenge.
