In Friday's league bout, the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) football team beat the visiting Watertown Arrows (Watertown, SD), by a tally of 23-12.
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Douglas (Box Elder, SD). The Patriots enter the Eastern South Dakota contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Douglas was toppled by Huron (Huron, SD), 47-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Arrows battle the Tea Titans (Tea, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota contest, on Friday, October 10. Watertown will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 20-0 league win over Brookings (Brookings, SD).
