Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad tip the host Niwot Cougars (Niwot, CO), 6-4 in a non-league match.

The Roughriders (13-7) will now prepare for their match against Northridge (Greeley, CO). The Grizzlies come into the 4A/3A Longs Peak match with a 13-8 record. In their last match, Northridge nipped Thompson Valley (Loveland, CO), 5-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Silver Creek Raptors (Longmont, CO) in a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks game, on Saturday, October 4. Niwot will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Raptors enter the game with a 12-7 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Overland (Aurora, CO).
