The Golden Hawks (20-8) will now prepare for their contest against Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA). The Jackrabbits enter the non-league contest with a 20-6 record. In their last contest, Long Beach Poly notched a victory over Lakewood (Lakewood, CA), 3-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 4. Santa Monica will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Royals go into the battle with a 20-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA).
