Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) and the visiting Magnolia Sentinels (Anaheim, CA), observed El Modena's volleyball team top Magnolia by a tally of 3-0.

The Vanguards (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Brea Olinda (Brea, CA). The Wildcats enter the North Hills test with a 15-11 record. In their last test, Brea Olinda achieved victory over Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA), 3-1, in a league test.

The Sentinels now own a 4-24 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Ana Valley for a Orange test on Tuesday, October 7. Magnolia will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Los Amigos (Fountain Valley, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 7-8.
