With the win, Luverne improves its record to 9-11 on the season. The Cardinals host Lakeview (Cottonwood, MN) to face the Lakers in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. The Lakers go into the test with a record of 7-8. Lakeview won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Windom (Windom, MN)

Next, the Fighting Saints play the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 3. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Murray County Central (Slayton, MN).
