Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) and the visiting Lakeland Hawks (Rathdrum, ID), observed Melba's volleyball team hold off Lakeland by a tally of 3-2.

The Mustangs (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Kimberly (Kimberly, ID). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Kimberly tipped Century (Pocatello, ID), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bonneville for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Lakeland will meet a Bees team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Blackfoot (Blackfoot, ID). The Bees record now stands at 15-8.
