Illinois High School Volleyball - Lanphier over Peoria

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) and the visiting Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), saw Lanphier's volleyball squad notch a victory over Peoria by a score of 2-0.

With the win, Lanphier improves its record to 5-20 on the season. The Lions travel to Seymour (Payson, IL) to battle the Indians in a non-league contest on Friday, October 3. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 8-11. Seymour lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against West Prairie (Sciota, IL)

Next, the Lions battle the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 3. Peoria will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record. The Explorers go into the battle with a 10-12 record after their 2-1 league win over Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL).
