The Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD) volleyball held off the host Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crow Creek for a non-league match on Friday, October 3. Little Wound will confront a Chieftains squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Chieftains record now stands at 6-7.
The Sioux (3-10) will now prepare for their match against Crow Creek (Stephan, SD). The Chieftains enter the non-league match with a 7-9 record. In their last match, Crow Creek was tipped by Bennett County (Martin, SD), 2-0, in a non-league match.
