Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maynard Tigers (Maynard, AR), 63-58 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Viola upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region 2 bout on Thursday, November 2. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Calico Rock won 62-49 in their recent non-league bout against Lead Hill (Lead Hill, AR)
Next up, the Tigers play the Armorel Tigers (Armorel, AR) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Monday, November 6. Maynard will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
