The Southside Sharks walloped the host Carencro Bears football team by a score of 70-35 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Sharks meet the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) in a 5A District 3 test, on Friday, November 7. Southside will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a 0-9 record after their 42-0 league loss to Lafayette (Lafayette, LA).

With the defeat, Carencro drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Acadiana (Lafayette, LA) to face the Rams in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, November 7. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Acadiana won 49-21 in their recent league challenge against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA)
