Louisiana High School Football - Sacred Heart knocked off by Catholic of Pointe Coupee

In Thursday's league game, the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) football team beat the visiting Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA), by a final score of 36-24.

With the win, Catholic of Pointe Coupee advances its record to 7-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA) to encounter the Vikings in a 1A District 5 bout on Thursday, November 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Opelousas Catholic won 47-6 in their recent league contest against Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA)

Coming up next, the Trojans battle the Berchmans Academy Saints (Grand Coteau, LA) in a 1A District 5 contest, on Friday, November 7. Sacred Heart will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Saints enter the contest with a 1-8 record after their 47-6 league loss to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA).
