In Thursday's non-league match, the host Coyle Bluejackets football squad scored a close 6-5 triumph over the Cherokee Chiefs.
The Bluejackets (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Davenport (Davenport, OK). The Bulldogs come into the B-II District 3 (8 Man) match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Davenport was nudged by Covington-Douglas (Covington, OK), 52-24, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Chiefs meet the Waukomis Chiefs (Waukomis, OK) in a B-II District 3 (8 Man) match, on Friday, November 7. Cherokee will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Chiefs go into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 48-0 league win over Olive (Drumright, OK).
