The Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) football trounced the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), 42-0 in Thursday's league outing.
The Lions now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sulphur for a 5A District 3 outing on Friday, November 7. Lafayette will face a Golden Tors team coming off a 17-6 league loss to Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Golden Tors record now stands at 2-7.
The Yellowjackets (0-9) will now prepare for their game against Southside (Youngsville, LA). The Sharks enter the 5A District 3 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Southside trounced Carencro (Lafayette, LA), 70-35, in a league outing.
