Mississippi High School Football - Lewisburg crushed by Tupelo

Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Lewisburg Patriots (Olive Branch, MS), 49-0 in a league match.

The Golden Wave (9-1) will now prepare for their match against DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Jaguars come into the 7A Region 1 match with a 7-3 record. In their last match, DeSoto Central routed Hernando (Hernando, MS), 42-21, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Patriots meet the Horn Lake Eagles (Horn Lake, MS) in a 7A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, November 6. Lewisburg will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 31-14 league win over Southaven (Southaven, MS).
