Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they witnessed their flag football squad knock off the visiting Valley Center Jaguars (Valley Center, CA), 38-8 in a non-league contest.

The Pirates (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Carlsbad was toppled by Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA), 32-27, in a non-league contest.
