    The Union Bears football squad scored 46 points and limited the host Abingdon Falcons to 7 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.

    In their next game, the Bears face the John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA) in a Mountain challenge, on Friday, November 7. Union will attempt to improve on its 9-0 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 19-13 league win over Lee (Jonesville, VA).

    The Falcons (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Generals enter the Mountain challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Lee was ripped by John Battle (Bristol, VA), 19-13, in a league challenge.
