The Church Point Bears football squad scored 24 points and limited the visiting Holy Savior Menard Eagles to 7 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now have a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ville Platte for a 3A District 4 game on Friday, November 7. Church Point will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-0 league win over Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-5.
The Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Port Barre (Port Barre, LA). The Red Devils enter the 2A District 5 game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Port Barre was defeated by Kinder (Kinder, LA), 58-12, in a league outing.
