The New Boston Lions football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Hughes Springs Mustangs to 16 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Daingerfield for a 3A-2 Region III District 10 test on Friday, November 7. New Boston will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 72-16 league win over Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Hughes Springs falls to 3-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Redwater (Redwater, TX) to face the Dragons in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 game on Friday, November 7. The Dragons enter the game with a record of 1-8. Redwater lost 39-13 in their recent league game against Hooks (Hooks, TX)
