Texas High School Football - Kountze prevails New Waverly

In Friday's league battle, the visiting Kountze Lions football team scored a nice 42-28 win over the New Waverly Bulldogs.
With the win, Kountze upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Woodville (Woodville, TX) to meet the Eagles in a 3A-2 Region III District 12 challenge on Friday, November 7. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Woodville won 34-21 in their recent league challenge against New Waverly (New Waverly, TX)
The Bulldogs (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity (Trinity, TX). The Tigers go into the 3A-2 Region III District 12 game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Trinity ran past Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX), 21-20, in a league game.
