The Beaver Island Islanders prevailed the visiting Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter volleyball squad by a margin of 2-0 in Friday's league bout.

The Islanders now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mackinaw City for a non-league bout on Friday, October 31. Beaver Island will clash with a Comets team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Rudyard (Rudyard, MI). The Comets record now stands at 13-16.

With the loss, Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter drops to 3-9 on the campaign. The host Maplewood Baptist Academy (Kinross, MI) to confront the Black Bears in a Northern Lights match on Monday, November 3. The Black Bears enter the match with a record of 11-9. Maplewood Baptist Academy lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Newberry (Newberry, MI)
