Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA) and the visiting De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA), observed Northlake Christian's volleyball team top De La Salle by a count of 2-0.
The Wolverines (23-13) will now prepare for their contest against Central Private (Baker, LA). The Redhawks enter the non-league battle with a 14-11 record. In their last battle, Central Private achieved victory over Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Cavalier now own a 13-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northshore for a non-league battle on Friday, October 31. De La Salle will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 23-10.
