The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces topped the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Monday's non-league test.
The Golden Aces now have a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a Little Illini test on Tuesday, October 5. Mt. Carmel will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 league win over Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 16-3.
The Rams (2-8) will now prepare for their test against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL). The Red Devils enter the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Murphysboro gained a win over Herrin (Herrin, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
