Next, the Wildcats confront the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A challenge, on Thursday, October 6. Garinger will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).

The Hawks now possess a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Charlotte for a Queen City 3A/4A test on Monday, October 10. West Mecklenburg will meet a Lions squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Lions record now stands at 0-6.
