Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mesa Ridge Grizzlies (Colorado Springs, CO), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Creek for a 4A NCAA challenge on Thursday, October 6. Mead will battle a Raptors squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Greeley Central (Greeley, CO). The Raptors record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Mesa Ridge falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Elizabeth (Elizabeth, CO) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 6. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 17-4. Elizabeth won 20-0 in their recent league challenge against The Classical Academy (Colorado Springs, CO)
