Illinois High School Volleyball - Auburn tips Illini Central

Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the New Berlin Pretzels (New Berlin, IL) in a Sangamo match, on Thursday, October 6. Auburn will attempt to advance on its 14-16 season record. The Pretzels go into the contest with a 5-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Athens (Athens, IL).

With the loss, Illini Central moves to 4-15 on the year. The Cougars travel to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL) to face the Cardinals in a Sangamo contest on Thursday, October 6. The Cardinals go into the contest with a record of 18-2. Pleasant Plains won 2-1 in their recent league contest against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL)
