The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) and the visiting Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), saw Marvin Ridge's volleyball squad beat Ardrey Kell by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Marvin Ridge upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Mavericks host Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

The Knights now own a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 5. Ardrey Kell will play a Sabres squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 4-11.
